The Power of Persistence: Praying for All People

Scripture: 1 Timothy 2:1-6a
Mediators have an important role of bridging the gap between two parties. The Ultimate Mediator between God and humans is Jesus “who gave himself as a ransom for all people”. He didn’t use his status to his own advantage but for the good of lost and condemned humans. So too, as mediators between God and people, our prayers will prioritize the needs of our neighbors (including and perhaps especially our enemies). Our sermon today leads us to ponder, “Who has been missing from our prayers?”
